My Birthday & HS Field Trips

Thursday was my birthday, I am now 32 years old! I don't feel that old mentally but I think I do physically - or maybe that is just because I am almost 8mos pregnant LOL. My dad took me out to eat so I could have my steak and baked potato with A-1 sauce in it...yum! And he surprised me with a huge chocolate cake and some vanilla ice cream. Then inside the card Emira made for me, he left $50 - which I was planning to use to buy myself a new bread machine but I ended up spending it on the kids the next day on our homeschool field trips. I will re-imburse myself on payday this week and get my bread maker. So anyway that was a big treat as we don't usually celebrate my birthday since it's so close to our anniversary.

Friday we went on our homeschool field trips. First we went to the Fire Dept. for a tour and the kids were able to see and learn all about the fire house and trucks. They also watched a fire safety movie. The firemen were so wonderful and the kids were really great! They each got a fire helmet, an eraser and a fire dept. tattoo. It was lots of fun!

Then we all went to Chik-fil-A to eat lunch and play for a couple hours before we went skating. Skating was lots of fun, Emira is getting really good and surprised me since she hadn't been since her bday party in March. Ainsley had a great time, she rode in her stroller while the girls took turns pushing her around the rink. It wasn't long before she fell asleep and after 4 hours I finally got a chance to sit down and breathe, and talk to the other moms.

After skating, my friend and her girls met us at the Amish Barn - I absolutely LOVE this place and go there every chance I get. We are addicted to their spicy beef jerkey so I had to get some; and I bought some Amish made applebutter since I never got the chance to make any this year.

Needless to say I was extremely exhausted when we got home. But I have to say it was really good to get out of the house all day and hang out with other homeschool moms. I really needed that!

Shane and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary on Friday the 10th! We were able to get my dad to sit with the girls for a while so we could go out to dinner at Chili's (my fave place to eat - I adore the southwest eggrolls!) We had originally planned to see a movie as well but decided we will do that another time since he had to work the next day. Sadly we totally forgot to take a pic of us together. But I wanted to scrap a page in tribute to our special day as well as my fave song!

Lil Stinker!

Ainsley wasn't feeling well and we were taking pics of us together. She was not very enthused and started picking her nose before I even noticed LOL. Too cute still so I had to scrap it!

I'm back in the scrapping mood! Don't know quite how it happened, but I have been bitten by the bug. I'm thinking it's fall and the holidays fast approaching. Either way it's a wonderful thing to have my mojo back!!
