One year ago today….
...I gave birth to my sweet little Ainsley Grace Makenna!

So excited and some hybrid fun!
I am so excited!! I have been accepted as a Guest CT Member for Melissa Bennett in October!! I just love working with her designs and even though Oct is a ways off, I know I will be scrapping with her gorgeous designs every month! I just purchased a couple of her kits yesterday and they are awesome! Click to get them!
And while surfing the hybrid gallery at DST I saw THIS by Geordie Girl {she must be the QUEEN of hybrid card-making}! I knew I had to make one too, since I had Waddles and Whimsy kit by NitWitCollections!
Digital kit is Waddles and Whimsy by NitWit, inked edge action by Atomic Cupcake.
I also added my own text, a button and a daisy fabric flower and adhered it all to regular cardstock.
A List of Ones
A List of Ones
Saw this on E's blog and wanted to do it too! Although most of my answers were probably the same as hers, I took it as a challenge to think of something else hehe.
One thing I won’t let my husband buy me: Clothes for obvious reasons.
One thing I would love to have, but I probably will never have: a bigger house
One thing you will never find in my closet: organization (working on it though!)
One thing I would choose if I were having elective surgery: I'd have my belly removed completely LOL can they do that?
One thing I love about my face: my nose minus the blackheads I sometimes get LOL
One thing that I love to do: read
One thing I would like to change if I could: the whole world for the better
One thing I would change as a mom: More good discipline
One thing I would do if I had unlimited money: take care of my dad
One thing I that I will not do again: have a big wedding
One thing that I would like to do: go on a cruise (Emira said this just this morning)
One thing I could do without: CLUTTER
One thing I love to smell: new books
One thing I would do if I won the lottery: payoff all debts (too bad I don't play
One thing that infuriates me: kids who ignore their parents - namely mine
One thing that I love about winter: deep snow
One thing I love about scrapbooking: creativity
One thing I am addicted to: lately its peanut butter
One thing I pray for: my sanity sometimes LOL mostly for my kids
One thing I wish I had: flat tummy
One thing I would do again, regardless of the pain: have another baby
One thing that I absolutely hate to do: dishes
One thing that is weird about me: I snore like freight train LOL
One thing that I need help on: managing my anxiety without meds
One thing I find most relaxing: reading
One thing that could get me in trouble: credit card
One thing that annoys me: being expected to clean up other people's messes
One thing I dread; therefore, don’t do very often: go to the dr.
One thing that I have learned, but still sometimes forget: everything happens in God's timing, NOT MINE!

Hehe I just made a new word!
I worked on some de-cluttering tonight. I have 3 huge totes of yarn and UFO crochet projects and 3 large bags of yarn that was given to me. I DO NOT NEED ALL THIS!!! NO ONE DOES!! LOL So I went through all my projects, gathered the yarn I needed to finish them and the patten and put them each into large ziploc bags. Also I put all of my printed patterns into bags. Then all the yarn I wanted to keep and all those ziploc bags (plus a couple extra for future use) I put into 1 tote - YES JUST ONE TOTE! Ah feels so good! Now I have about 3 bags of yarn to freecycle! Now as I get more I will know just where to put it if I want to keep it. If not, again it will be listed on freecycle.
I have to work on my sewing supplies and fabric next. Those will easily fit into a smaller tub since I haven't collected too much of that. Also I have some regular craft supplies and scrapbook supplies that I will re-organize and de-clutter. Some if it is now in my craft nook but most is on the book shelf in Ainsley's room (formerly my scrap room).
I want to get back into paper scrapping some since I am dabbling in hybrid and altered art. I would love to get more organized with what little supplies I have left. I seen this today on Patter's blog:
....Something comparable to the $90 two-tiered Clip It for the price of a stand-alone paper towel holder and some page protectors from Staples. All you do is link the page protectors with three rings, pull off the top of the towel holder, slide the cone of the towel holder through the three rings, and hey presto, baby, you've got yourself a little piece of organizing heaven for very little money.....
Ultimately this is what I would like to eventually accomplish - minus the red of course. Lime green (my color that inspires) and black would work for me.
And then there is Emira's room! It is always pure madness no matter how hard we try. Every few months we de-clutter and freecycle and it's great...for about 3 days LOL.
How Do I Teach Organization to My Child?
I have asked myself this question a million times. Emira has some dislexia and one of her biggest issues is lack of organization...she is messy, messy, messy! Anyhow I found the article quite interesting. Of course now I am interested in anything Peter Walsh has to say LOL. I love him - and never knew of him before Oprah! Now I have to start watching Clean Sweep!
Here is another idea I want to do for Emira's room.
Clutter Cups
Corral the clutter in the kids’ room with magnetic tin cans. Hot glue heavy-duty magnets to ten soup cans and stick them to a steel cookie sheet. Hang it within kids’ reach using a plate hanger. Use the cups to hold crayons, chalk, markers and even Legos. Label the cans for easy clean up. {Now if you know me, you know I would have to make these pretty with some patterned paper and ribbon}.

Til next time - I'm on a decluttorganization mission!

Scrapping Saturday!
Woo hoo!! I actually got to scrap today FOR ME and not for my designs! It’s really refreshing! I have so much I need to do and emails to reply to and more more more! But I took a break and just SCRAPPED! I need to do this more often!
These 2 layouts use designs by the fabulous Melissa Bennett!
And here is the badge album I promised I would show you. I just used my Enduring Love Quickpage Album for this. I resized the layouts, centered and trimmed them to the size of the badge, printed and added a keyring and ribbon. I found a pack of these badge protectors at walmart. There were 12 in the pack and for only a couple bucks, this is an awesome project! Easy peasy and makes a great gift too!
I have contacted everyone who applied for my ct and am proud to announce my newest members are:
Krystal
Eva
Meg
Jeany
Sandy
Congrats ladies! I am so happy to be working with you all!
I’m tagging you + a freebie find
I found this neat tag on Holly McCaig's blog and even though she didn't tag me I am participating anyway so I can tag YOU!
1. Name your two favorite scrapbooking topics:
Emira and Ainsley of course!
2. Where are the two best places you’ve been to?
Pigeon Forge, TN and Amelia Island - Fernandina Beach, FL - yeah I don't get out much lol.
3. Name two things you do every day: Spend too much time on my laptop, and read at night before bed.
4. Tell us two things that pretty much everyone knows about you: I am a digital scrapbook designer and I am addicted to my laptop.
5. Tell us two things that everyone DOESN’T know about you: I can be very lazy (trying my best to change that with lots of prayer) and I have social anxiety.
6. Tell us two things that got you into the hobby of scrapping: the birth of my first daughter Emira in 2000 and a love to create and take photos.
7. Tell us two things that you want to accomplish in the next six months: Finish my 2006 and 2007 albums of the girls, and to be a more creative designer.
8. Name your two favorite scrapping tools: for digi it has to be Photoshop CS2 of course and my new Kodak printer, but for paper/hybrid it is my paper trimmer and mod podge.
9. Name your two favorite sources of scrapping inspiration: people on my blog feeds and in the galleries, and the photos and their colors.
10. How has your scrapping changed since you started? I’ve learned that sometimes simple is better and now I don’t scrap as much as I used to.
11. What scrapbooking project have you yet to try but would love to? Definitely more hybrid projects!
So if you read this and you scrapbook, consider yourself tagged! Leave me a comment so I can come and visit your blog to read your answers.
And now for a fabulous frugal freebie deal - Get a free photo package from Walgreens! We just got a new Walgreens here and I have yet to go in. But now I have a great reason to LOL. Here is the info (thanks Kath!):
If you order a family pack of photos (includes 1-8x10, 2-5x7, 4-4x6) to
pick up in-store and use code VALENTINE they are FREE ($4.99 value) at
Walgreens.com. (Link takes you to the AD page w/ link to photo center.)
You have to have a photo account at Walgreens.com to upload
and order photos, but it only takes a few minutes to create one.
Coupon good Feb 7th-9th.
So did anyone watch Oprah today? Oh wow I loved this episode! Now I don't usually watch Oprah but I seen the commercial for today's show and thought I would check it out since I am on a de-cluttering mission this month.
Does The Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat? I am totally digging Peter Walsh! He can come to my house anytime LOL. I am going to read his book too. All I can say is that I totally feel this way! When my house is a mess and unorganized and unclean - I get lazy and I eat fast and un-healthy! This show was a real eye opener for me!
Ok enough rambling for one day! See ya tomorrow
Sick girlies and some digi goodness…
We are not doing too much today and no school really. The girls are both sick and feeling really crappy. Thankfully it hasn't hit me yet so I am able to take care of them. I am going to put some brown beans in the crock pot for dinner and we are going to read The Waterhorse aloud together. Though I think today I will be doing most all the reading. I really want to see this movie but we will be waiting for it to arrive at Netflix on dvd. We got our book from PaperBackSwap.

Here is the newest FREE card template, especially made for Week 5 of Patter's Scripture Challenge.
And here are my cards. I am so anxious to get these all together and printed, and then I will adhere them to a large playing card...actually I am using some flash cards I found at Dollar Tree. And then I will coat them with modpodge so they will be protected from little finger prints.
Also in the shop at Faith Sisters you can now find my previously released Thanks and Praise kit, Faith Stones, Recipe Box brushes and I combined a few of my element packs to make the Get Girly Grab Bag! Come and check them out.
And yesterday was the last day of my CT Call. I have chosen my new girls and will be making my announcement and emailing everyone who applied either later today or tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who applied!
De-Clutter Mission!
Monday Madness! Well not really but it has been a busy day. Emira and I cleaned up our gargantuan mess and organized a bit. But the bes was getting rid of a few things - de-cluttering! I love to de-clutter now, I think it's become one of my most favorite things to do!
We actually gave most of it to my dad who lives next door...a corner shelf, 2 wall shelves from home interior in the 80s lol and a clock. Just a few things I would have freecycled, if he didn't want them. But he did because he is remodeling and re-decorating his home (which has more clutter than the word means!) He is a pack rat and never throws away ANYTHING! Maybe that is where I got it, but when you live in a 3 bedroom single-wide you can't have CLUTTER -so I get rid of EVERYTHING now!
