Happy Weekend!
I hope everyone had a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving holiday!
We stayed at Shane's parents' house for a couple days and ate dinner at his grandma's house. Yum, it was DELISH! And best of all I didn't have to cook LOL!
Shane's mom got a call from the dr at Jon Hopkins - says the cancer in her lung (she also has it in her lymph node and stomach) has spread out of her lung and they need to get her started on chemo asap. Please continue to pray for her, this is so hard on everyone and the holidays are here, that makes it even harder. She is in so much pain and can't do much.
Good news though, I am getting a new printer for Christmas! I decided on the Kodak 5100 all in one because it is supposed to be the best for saving money on ink. I love my HP but ink is usually over $60 and I just can't afford to print all my layouts. Check out this post and this post for more on this series of printers.
Well not mine, in fact I ordered my printer yesterday and it was FREE!! Yes I said FREE! I was surfing around the Kodak site and when I added the printer to my cart, just to bookmark it per say, I got a pop-up ad that said I could have the printer free with any camera purchase over $199. I didn't need a new camera but I added it to my cart anyway just to see if it was for real.
Oh baby what a deal! The printer was FREE indeed, and the camera was discounted since my order total was over $250 before discounts, also there was a bonus memory card FREE and I got FREE 2-day shipping too! Kodak is my new best friend!
Here is what I got:
Qty. Description Unit Price Extended Price
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1 KODAK EASYSHARE Z885 Zoom Digital $199.96 $169.96
Camera, discount applied
1 KODAK EASYSHARE 5100 All-in-One $129.00 $0.00

Now I will probably sell the camera as I don't need it, I have 3 other cameras now, and I know this will make a great Christmas gift for someone else. But getting my printer free saved us over 140$ that we can use for something else we need...like more RAM for this laptop LOL.
And now I must plug my newest creations you can find exclusively at FaithSisters.com!
New Christmas kits are coming to the shops soon!

Prayer Request and Scrap News
It's early friday morning and I can't believe I haven't blogged since Monday!
Yesterday we got our very first snow! It actually covered the ground too. I love it but the cats and dogs don't seem to care for it LOL.

Urgent Prayer Request:
This week we got some horrible news. My MIL Toni has cancer
And while we thought all week long that she had lymphoma and there was a really good chance for her to recover, we found out today that she just told Shane and his dad that. In reality she has cancer in her lungs and stomach as well as her lymph nodes. She is leaving sunday to travel to Baltimore to visit Jon Hopkins, we will know more then. Please please keep her and our family in your prayers! This is a very stressful and emotional time for all of us. She is only 47. Two years ago she had a triple bypass after being diagnosed with heart disease. I believe all of this is due to her smoking so many years. Please if you smoke, quit today! Do it for YOU and your family. Thank you for your prayers!

Guess what I bought today? Shane and I have been looking into buying a new laptop for my scrapping and homeschool but we just didn't quite have the money yet. Then today I seen someone post in a yahoo group that Wal-mart was having a secret sale this weekend and were selling Acer 1gb Laptops for $348. So I called my aunt who is an Asst. Mgr there and happens to be over Electronics to confirm this price. Se said they had ordered 40 and by the time I got there, there were only 17 left. Unfortunately there were no displays, specs, nothing. The only thing anyone knew was that it had 1gig ram so I was taking a big risk getting it - but at the same time a laptop for less than $350 was a steal! So I bought it!
# Processor: Intel Celeron M processor 530 1.7GHz
# Memory:1GB
# HD Capacity: 80 Gb
# Display: 15.4"
# Graphics Card: Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
# Operating System: Vista Home Premium
# Optical Drive: DVD / CD-RW
# LAN: 10/100
# Wireless LAN: 802.11 B/G
# Size (WxDxH): 366 (W) x 274 (D) x 33.6/42.6 (H) mm
# Weight: 2.8kg
So far I am pretty happy with it except for the processor being a Celeron
We still need to get a wireless router so I can get online, but that will have to wait for payday. Great for the price!
Happy Halloween…
...if you celebrate, if not then Happy Harvest!
The girls dressed up and went to family's houses to get candy and then attended our Church's Harvest Party. Emira was a Fairy Princess and Ainsley was a Duckling. Here are some photos of them in their costumes.

Wanted: empty Starbucks Frappuccino bottles
Have you seen the cool altered bottles swimming around the hybrid galleries? Oh wow I love them and HAVE to make some soon! But first I gotta get some bottles hehe. Check out some that I have found online. Example 1 2 3 4 5 6 7(scroll down) 8 And I'm sure there are many many more! If you haven't already, you gotta try this!
I received my shutterfly calendars and they look awesome! I was asked to take some photos so everyone could see how great they look using the Shabby Princess calendar tops. Here are a few of the pages:

Well I'm off to finish watching Spiderman 3 then to bed! It's been a long day!
