Thankful Day

Today I am especially thankful for:

- Jesus, my family, friends, and YOU my blog readers!

- My hubby taking both the girls to his mom's house for the night so I can have some "me" time! I do miss them, but I need some time to get a few things done. I need to finish up laundry and cleaning my kitchen, work on lesson plans, upload more designs to the store and scrapbook too of course!

- Our first REACH homeschool co-op meeting was today, and it was wonderful! Each week, we moms who don't teach have a different "helping" place. Today I was the hall monitor, LOL. All I had to do was sit upstairs and make sure the kids were quiet as they changed classes. I wish now I would've brought a book to read. Next week I will be helping in the Art class - that should be lots of fun!

- The cool breeze and clouds we have today! It has been so hot and sticky the past few days and our a/c is broken. Today feels so good I just want to go and lay out in the grass and feel the wind!

Skulls are all the rage right now - and what's better than skulls? Girly Skulls! You get 10 doodled skulls including the princess and pirate, all hand-drawn by me! *colored doodles for display only*

These little stones are the perfect accessory to your layouts! When you just need one word that says it all, Faith Stones can do that for you! 12 stones included.

And I had a few minutes to scrap today, so I put this page together.

Happy Fall Yall!

I can't believe it is now FALL! WOW - summer really flew by this year! Seems like a few weeks ago we were waiting for it to get warm enough to get in the pool, now they are all just about closed down for the season. Time to get out the extra blankets and curl up with a good book!

And I plan to participate! The purpose of this challenge is for us to establish some goals for our reading this Fall and then work toward them. I don't really have a list handy but I want to finish all of my Beverly Lewis and Wanda Brunstetter books that are sitting on my bookshelf patiently waiting to be read. Then I want to read some Janette Okes books as well - will get those from PBS or the library.

I have been meaning to join in on this meme hosted by Tiany, for a while now and haven't got around to it yet. So let's get started now!

1. Bible Study/Devotions: I am studying the Bible right along with Emira and am finding that I am learning so much! We also do the Dear Diary devotions and though they are directed toward young girls, us older gals can relate ;)

2. Must Do:
- Print out this week's lessons
- Mail PBS books and letters
- Organize clothes for fall

3. Cleaning:
- Kitchen is my top priority,
then laundry and bathrooms.

4. Train Them Up:
- Set up a chore chart for a more orderly approach.
- Award "tickets" that can be exchanged for money, when Emira does well on lessons.
- Read at least 1 book together each day this week - we got behind last week.

5. Menu Planning:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Last week's menu changed drastically since hubby and baby went away for a couple days. So we are using those days this week.

Monday- Potato Soup and Ham n Swiss on French bread
Tuesday- Vegetable beef stew
Wednesday- Bacon cheddar tater wedges
Thursday- Dining Out with Dad
Friday- Pizza night (homemade)

Found this video on another blog and have to share! How absolutely awesome can it get! You HAVE to see this if you haven't already!
